FBA Cook Teams Stun The American Royal in Kansas City

It seems no matter where the FBA Cook Teams take the field, they stand up to the challenge and come home winners.


At the American Royal Open this past weekend, Jimmy Brod's Smokin' Cracker BBQ Team not only walked the stage for Reserve Grand Champion, but also 2nd place in Chicken and 8th in Brisket out of 486 teams! Smokin' Cracker also landed 14th place in both Pork and Brisket in the Invitational.

With 33 other Pro division teams vying for prizes at this first year FBA event, nobody gave much thought to Jimmy Brod and his son Jeremy winning much on Friday night. But when the awards were handed out on Saturday, the Smokin' Cracker BBQ Team walked away with a First in Pork, a Second in Brisket, and the Grand Champion's trophy - his first Grand of the season.

Smokin' Cracker On A Roll!

Jimmy Brod seems to be unstoppable. His Smokin' Cracker BBQ Team trampled over the competition at the 9th Annual Pig on the Pond this weekend, taking Grand Champion by almost 18 points over HomeBBQ.com. The big man walked the stage in all four categories. Could this be our next Team of the Year? Congratulations to all the teams and a big round of applause for organizer Cheryl Fishel for another spectacular event.
