ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Mr. Palmer has over thirty years experience in the swimming pool industry. The first twelve years were primarily involved with concrete (gunite) pools, and the last eighteen in fiberglass pools. He has served with three of the major U.S. fiberglass pool manufacturers in capacities ranging from pool installations and repair to writing technical papers and installation manuals. He specializes in contractor training programs, mold design, manufacturing techniques and a full range of fiberglass pool consulting. He devised a water injection sand compacting system that has dramatically reduced the instances of pool settling and structural damage. Mr. Palmer has installed more than one hundred fiberglass pools, most of which were training experiences for swimming pool contractors and manufacturers representatives. He is a Certified Pool Operator as sanctioned by the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals, and has extensive experience in water chemistry and resolving water chemistry related pool problems. He is presently managing his fiberglass pool consulting company known as Continental Pool Works.
